Quality Inspector
A Fabrication / Welding Inspector responsible for conducting inspections at various stages of production and making necessary adjustments or recommendations to maintain quality. The job requires a keen eye for detail, strong knowledge of engineering drawings, and the ability to communicate effectively with production and design teams. Willing to undergo any necessary training.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform patrol inspections of in-process and final products to ensure they meet specifications
- Document inspection outcomes by completing reports and performance records
- Ability to liaise / communicate with the production team about quality control concerns to improve product excellence
- Look over the production process to ensure quality and safety standards are met
- Resolve quality-related issues in a timely manner
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, data, manuals, and other documents to determine specifications
- Perform dimensional checks and reports
- Raise and close out snags as required
- Pneumatic pressure testing of silencers and tanks
- Control of route cards
Qualifications / Skills:
- Proven work experience as a Fabrication Shop Inspector or similar role
- Excellent knowledge of fabrication processes
- Proficiency in using measuring tools and equipment
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Good technical skills
- Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and safety
- CSWIP Level 0
- Ability to communicate and liaise with the customer
- Ability to work as part of a team and to contribute to team moral
