Fitter / Welder
Due to ongoing expansion we are seeking experienced Fabricator/Welders to join our team in Shepshed.
We are a market-leading manufacturer of specialist equipment to a range of industry sectors including heavy engineering and Marine products.
Due to the specialist nature of the products the work is both interesting and varied and will involve the fabrication of metal structures, working from engineering drawings, from base materials through to finished product and will include the following:-
- Marking out
- Metal preparation
- Cutting
- Bending
- Assembly
- Welding
The work will mostly involve the fabrication of carbon steel and stainless steel and will involve pipe work as well as plate.
The ideal candidates must be experienced Fabricators with the ability to carry out MIG welding to a high standard is essential. Experience of TIG and MMA welding would also be useful. Previous experience of working on the fabrication of a wide range of material thicknesses is also required. In addition, the ability to carry out plating/fabrication activities such as cutting, rolling, bending etc and the ability to work from drawings will also be a strong advantage.

Requirements:
- Previous experience in shot blasting within a commercial manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of abrasive blasting techniques and materials.
- Ability to handle and operate industrial equipment safely I.E overhead cranes.
- Experience working with acoustic products would be advantageous
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- FLT license would be advantageous
Shift & Pay Details:
- Dayshift: Monday - Friday, 07:30 AM - 4: PM
- Pay Rate: Dependant on experience.
- Overtime available at enhanced rates.
