We supplied an extensive and multiple acoustic and exhaust after-treatment project to our client for King Abdulaziz International Airport. The airport, colloquially referred to as Jeddah Airport, Jeddah International Airport, or KAIA, is a major international airport serving the cities of Jeddah and Mecca in Saudi Arabia, located 19 kilometres (12 mi) north of Jeddah and covering an area of 112 square kilometres (43 sq mi). The airport is the busiest in the kingdom and the third-largest by land area. It is also one of the busiest airports in the Middle East.
As part of this project, we supplied over forty 32” exhaust silencers and over eighty 20″ air intake silencers. The target noise to be achieved was 75dB(A) at 1 metre, which was duly achieved.
These two products were not only complemented by extensive pipework runs and exhaust bellows, but each line came with a 2-stage oxidation catalyst reducing Carbon Monoxide and Hydrocarbons.
To complete the project, we took care of all transport and border clearances and supplied site supervision to assist the client’s local labour force to complete this magnificent project.
