Assembly Fitter
We are looking for a skilled and detail-orientated Assembly Fitter to join our production team at our Eco Factory. In this hands-on role you will be responsible for the mechanical assembly of high-quality industrial silencers, working to engineering drawings and strict quality standards. You will play a key part in ensuring our products leave our facility to the exacting standards our global customers expect.
Key Responsibilities:
- Mechanical assembly of exhaust, steam vent, turbine and spark arrestor silencers to specification.
- Safe and competent use of a range of hand and power tools.
- Working from and interpreting engineering drawings and technical documentation.
- Carrying out quality checks and ensuring all work meets IMS quality standards.
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment.
- Collaborating with colleagues across production, quality and engineering teams.
- Reporting any defects, non-conformances or safety concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the production facility.
Skills & Experience
Essential
- Proven experience in mechanical assembly within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Confident and safe use of hand and power tools.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality standards.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Desirable
- Electrical fitting experience — knowledge of basic electrical installation or wiring is advantageous.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Experience working in a certified or regulated manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing or 5S principles.
