Virgin Islands Project
We successfully secured the contract to implement an exhaust gas extension system on the US Virgin Islands, specifically on St. Croix. Our contribution to this project involved providing four 1100mm NB x 25mtr tall chimneys equipped with sampling and emission monitoring platforms. These chimneys were enhanced with 14” NB SJ275R carbon steel flues, each featuring Stainless Steel exhaust bellows for a polished finish. Removing the risk of exhaust gas recirculation due to engine shutdown, included on each exhaust line were single vane Stainless Steel electrically actuated flue gas dampers. To ensure structural integrity, the flues were supported by robust structural steel work extending to the ground, meticulously designed to withstand the island’s challenging wind and seismic conditions.
The entire set of equipment was meticulously transported to the site by IMS, with the added provision of a dedicated Site Supervisor to oversee the seamless installation process.
