Industrial & Marine Silencers Limited is currently recruiting a Project manager to work delivering projects as a principal and sub-contractor. This is a superb opportunity for a Project Manager to join the business through this rapid period of growth. The business is looking for a driven, passionate, and motivated Project Manager to guide the team through these exciting times.
IMS are leading manufacturers of exhaust, steam vent, turbine & certified spark arrestor silencers along with acoustic enclosures & doors, SCR, DPF & removable catalytic converter units. Using our own teams of experienced site engineers, IMS are also able to undertake total ‘turnkey’ projects from design through to installation and commissioning.
The Role:
- Work independently on assigned projects utilising Senior managers for support.
- Schedule meetings with the Head of Project Delivery and Technical Director for updates.
- Attend all new/variation project handovers and accept the projects from sales.
- Collaborate on the development of new project and designs.
- Control all Warranty jobs that are linked to any project.
- Analyse project engineer’s hours/visa receipts to ensure all are being recorded.
- Ensure all closeouts are carried out 1 week after the final commissioning.
- Liaise with Sales Engineers to consolidate and maintain costing programmes.
- Liaise with clients to understand requirements and ensure deadlines are met.
- Assist Team Leader in carrying out appraisals for Project administrators.
The Person:
- Ideally a background in Mechanical, electrical or construction.
- Experience within the Generator Industry is desirable.
- Work in a hybrid role on sites in offices and at home.
- Able to coordinate and manage in-house engineers and external sub-contractors.
- Industry-recognised qualifications are desirable.
- Be confident to think outside the box and provide alternative solutions to clients.
- Knowledge of IT systems.
